Right of withdrawal

Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day on which you, or a third party named by you who is not the carrier, took possession of the goods.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision by means of a clear statement — for example a letter sent by post, or an email. Please contact:

You may use the model withdrawal form printed further down this page, but you are not obliged to. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is enough that you send your communication before the fourteen-day period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we reimburse all payments we have received from you, including the cost of delivery (with the exception of any supplementary cost resulting from your choice of a delivery method other than the least expensive standard delivery we offer), without undue delay and at the latest within fourteen days from the day on which we are informed of your decision. We use the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; you are not charged any fee for this reimbursement.

We may withhold the reimbursement until we have received the goods back, or until you have provided evidence that you have sent them back, whichever is earlier.

You must send the goods back, or hand them over to us, without undue delay and at the latest within fourteen days from the day on which you inform us of the withdrawal. The deadline is met if you dispatch the goods before the fourteen days have expired.

You bear the direct cost of returning the goods. A trolling motor is a bulky item, so please contact us before sending anything back: we arrange collection with a courier and tell you the exact return cost for your destination in advance, before you commit to anything. If the item arrived damaged, or what arrived is not what you ordered, we bear the return cost as well as the original delivery cost.

You are only liable for any loss in value of the goods if that loss results from handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

Where the right of withdrawal does not apply

  • goods made to your specification or clearly personalised;
  • sealed goods that were unsealed after delivery and are not suitable for return for health-protection or hygiene reasons;
  • goods that, after delivery, are by their nature inseparably mixed with other items;
  • contracts for digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, once supply has begun with your prior express consent.

None of these exceptions applies to the trolling motors we sell, unless a motor was customised at your request.

How a return works in practice

  1. Write to info@wattkeel.com within 14 days of delivery and tell us which order you want to cancel. One sentence is enough; you can use the form below.
  2. We confirm by email and give you a return reference plus the exact return cost for your country.
  3. Pack the motor in its original packaging, including the controller, cabling and mounting parts that came with it.
  4. Hand the parcel to the courier we arrange, or to the carrier of your choice. Keep the tracking receipt.
  5. We refund within 14 days of receiving the goods, or of receiving your proof of dispatch — whichever comes first.

Please do not send anything back before you have a return reference. Parcels without a reference cannot be matched to an order and may be refused by the warehouse.
