Terms and conditions
These terms apply to every order placed through wattkeel.com. They are written for consumers. If you are ordering as a business, contact us before ordering so we can agree separate terms.
1. Who you are contracting with
The seller is [to be added], [to be added], email info@wattkeel.com. “We” and “us” in these terms mean that company. “You” means the consumer placing the order.
2. How the contract is formed
Products and prices on this site are an invitation to order, not a binding offer. When you complete checkout you place a binding offer to buy. We accept that offer by sending an order confirmation email, or by dispatching the goods — whichever happens first. If we cannot accept your order, for example because the item is out of stock, we tell you without delay and refund any payment already made in full.
Some orders are handled by message before checkout: you send us your address and contact details, we prepare the order and send you a payment link. The contract is formed on the same basis — when you pay and we confirm or dispatch.
3. Prices, delivery costs and taxes
All prices are final prices in euro. They include statutory VAT and the cost of delivery to any address inside the European Union. Nothing is added at checkout, and nothing is payable to the courier on delivery. There is no minimum order value, no handling fee and no separate shipping charge.
We can change prices at any time, but the price shown at the moment you place your order applies to that order.
4. Delivery
We deliver to addresses inside the European Union only. We do not deliver to PO boxes, to packing stations or to addresses outside the EU.
Orders are dispatched within one business day of payment clearing. Delivery normally takes up to 10 days from dispatch. Delivery is by courier, with tracking; you receive the tracking number by email as soon as the parcel leaves the warehouse.
If a parcel is visibly damaged on arrival, please photograph the packaging before opening and report it to us within 48 hours. This helps us claim against the carrier. It does not shorten your statutory rights — see section 7.
5. Payment
You pay by the methods offered in the checkout, currently card payment and bank transfer through our payment partner, or by the payment link we send you. The full amount is due when the order is placed. We do not offer cash on delivery, instalments or invoicing to consumers.
If a payment is reversed or fails, we may suspend delivery until the amount is settled.
6. Right of withdrawal
Consumers in the EU have a right of withdrawal within 14 days of delivery. The full terms, the consequences of withdrawal and the model withdrawal form are on our right of withdrawal page. That page forms part of these terms.
7. Conformity, warranty and defects
Statutory liability for defects applies. In the European Union this means we are liable for any lack of conformity that becomes apparent within two years of delivery.
If your motor is faulty, contact us at info@wattkeel.com before returning it. We will agree with you whether to repair, replace or refund. Do not open the motor housing or attempt repairs yourself; doing so may affect your claim unless the defect is unrelated to the intervention.
Wear parts — propeller, shear pin, anode, seals and brushes — are covered for manufacturing defects but not for ordinary wear.
8. Retention of title
The goods remain our property until you have paid for them in full.
9. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and where statutory law requires it. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of an essential contractual duty, and limited to the damage typically foreseeable for this type of contract. We are not liable for damage caused by improper use, by using the motor outside its stated specifications, or by modifications you make.
10. Dispute resolution
We are neither obliged nor willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board. The European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025 and is no longer available.
If something goes wrong, write to us first. In practice almost every issue is settled by email within a few days.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer habitually resident in another EU member state, the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected. Your right to bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence is not affected either.
12. Data protection
We process personal data as described in our privacy policy.
13. Final provisions
If any provision of these terms is invalid, the rest remains in force and the invalid provision is replaced by the statutory rule. We may amend these terms for future orders; the version published at the time of your order applies to it.
